ASTORIA GRANDE

Astoria Grand is a cruise ship that began its service in 1996 as Aida, the first vessel in the fleet of the German cruise company AIDA Cruises. In 2001, it was renamed AIDAcara. In 2021, the ship was sold to a Russian company and renamed Astoria Grande.

The ship has a length of 193.34 meters and a width of 30.81 meters. It accommodates approximately 1,186 passengers, with a maximum capacity of 1,339, and is served by a crew of 370.

Astoria Grande operates cruises primarily in the Black Sea region, offering voyages from ports such as Sochi, Russia. In November 2024, the ship made a special voyage from Turkey to Egypt, marking its third visit to Alexandria in that year.

As of December 21, 2024, Astoria Grande is en route to the port of Samsun, Turkey, sailing at a speed of 14.5 knots and expected to arrive at 08:00.

The ship can accommodate around 1,000 passengers.
